Xavier Woods comments on G4TV shutting down less than a year after its relaunch.

Xavier Woods (Austin Creed) was hoping to live out his dream when it was announced that G4TV was being resurrected. Of course, he did get to host several shows on the network and even incorporated several professional wrestlers but less than a year after the network officially relaunched, Comcast made the decision to pull the plug on the network and the news was released on Sunday, October 16, 2022, by a report from Variety.

Xavier Woods would later speak on Jirard The Completionist’s stream on Twitch, giving his initial thoughts on the closure of the network and how everyone found out.

“I just don’t understand why they couldn’t tell anybody. Just say, ‘Hey, we’re gonna make an announcement. Don’t say anything. This is what’s going on.’ Like, we found out on Twitter? Come on,” he said.

Xavier Woods told his former G4TV co-hosts that, much like when wrestlers get released from their contracts, now it’s time for everyone to show why they are still going to make it in the industry and that the closure of the network is not the fault of the team creating the content.

“This is something we always say whenever people get released in wrestling. It’s time to show everyone who’s watching that this shit didn’t happen because of us, and it’s not going out and saying that, it’s going out and doing that. Just being everywhere and involved in everything. G4 is great. I’m so glad that we got to be part of Attack and all these awesome shows, but they hired us because we as a group are good at this shit,” he said.

Woods would later take to Twitter, posting more of a general statement for fans, thanking them for allowing him to live another one of his dreams.
