WWE NXT Results (10/18/22): Pick Your Poison, Main Roster Stars Appear

WWE NXT Results – October 18, 2022

Welcome to WrestleZone’s live coverage of WWE NXT!

The entire Judgment Day makes their way to the ring as they accompany Rhea Ripley for the first Pick Your Poison match of the evening.

Rhea Ripley vs. Roxanne Perez

Ripley starts with a lockup and then tosses Perez out of the ring. Perez attempts a waist lock from behind but gets bucked off. Ripley picks Perez apart with forearm shots to the lower back. Perez gets in a few punches before managing a hurricanrana. Perez follows Ripley outside and attempts another rana, but gets caught and slammed face-first into the apron. Ripley high-fives Priest before the break.

We return to Perez trapped on the mat in a leg scissors hold. Ripley rolls through and punches the back of Roxanne’s head. Perez dodges a boot and trips Ripley into the ropes. Perez with kicks and uppercuts. Ripley cuts Perez off, but Perez breaks free. Uppercut in the corner from Perez, then she dodges a spear. Perez dives through the ropes to take Ripley down. Ripley stops Perez on the turnbuckle with chops. Perez gets out of a suplex and hits a headscissors takedown for a nearfall. They trade blows and a headbutt. Perez dropkicks but gets scooped up and dropped on her face, two. Perez gets out of Riptide, then Ripley gets out of PopRox. Ripley headbutts after Dom distracted. Ripley lands Riptide for the win.

Winner: Rhea Ripley

Cora Jade is all smiles backstage before replays air. Judgment Day stands victorious on the stage.

The OC are warming up with Grimes. They talk about Schism and how Grimes has the hottest tag team in the business. Gallows says they are the buzz of the business. Grimes whips out a stack of 100s. Anderson says more importantly, they want to go to the moon.

Tony D’Angelo and Stacks make their way out. Tony D says he will reveal Stacks’ opponent after the break.

Backstage, Grayson Waller talks to McKenzie Mitchell about how he’s going to beat Apollo Crews again at Halloween Havoc. Chucky interrupts on the TV behind him. Chucky confirms the match will be a Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal bout. Chucky laughs as Waller panics.

Shinsuke Nakamura comes out to a big pop as he competes in NXT once again tonight.

Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

“Welcome back” chants start after the bell. Stacks kicks Nakamura in the gut and applies a headlock. Nakamura gets free and does Good Vibrations in the corner. Nakamura drops Stacks before delivering knees to the gut. Stacks catches a kick and works the leg. Stacks takes him down for a cover, followed by a headlock. Nakamura lands a single leg dropkick. Nakamura unloads with strikes and a big kick to take him down. Nakamura hits the sliding German suplex off the ropes, cover. Stacks throws punches before getting rolled into an arm bar. Stacks attempts offense again but gets hit with a couple boots. Nakamura nails Kinshasa for the win.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

D’Angelo tells Stacks that he’s proud of him.

Backstage, Axiom and Frazer discuss how proud they are of their best of three series. Mr. Stone and Von Wagner interrupt and put them down.

Alba Fyre makes her way out for the next match. Toxic Attraction (sans Mandy) accompanies Deville.

Alba Fyre vs. Sonya Deville

Fyre takes the work to Deville to start. Fyre gets tripped off the top rope and then eats a boot to the face, cover. Fyre drops Deville and kicks her. Dolin and Jayne get on the apron and in the ring. Dolin inadvertedly eats a kick from Deville. Fyre rolls Deville up for the win.

Winner: Alba Fyre

The numbers game catches up to Fyre as all three beat her down. Mandy Rose returns and says Alba made the wrong decsion abducting her. Rose says she’s fighting fire with Fyre at Halloween Havoc. Fyre breaks free and uses her bat against Deville and Toxic. Alba shoves her bat into Mandy’s throat to get her out of the ring. Alba holds up the title to end the segment/

Backstage, Wes Lee and Oro Mensah warm up and talk about tagging tonight. Hayes and Williams attack out of nowhere and the brawl spills into the arena.

Wes Lee & Oro Mensah vs. Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams

We return to find Lee and Trick in a headlock on the mat. Oro leaps in to dropkick Hayes. Hayes and Lee are tagged in. Lee takes Hayes down before delivering punches to the torso. Lee lands a running bulldog but gets pushed off the top by Trick. Oro runs over and kicks Trick, then tackles him with punches. Hayes lands a face buster, followed by the legdrop from the top. Hayes pins for the win.

Winners: Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams

Hayes and Williams beat them down until Mensah fights back. Lee helps Oro clothesline Trick out of the ring. Hayes front flips over the ropes and wipes the faces out. Von Wagner hits Hayes with a big boot, then Frazer jumps off the top rope with a crossbody.

Schism cuts a backstage promo on Grimes & The OC.

Bron Breakker hypes up The KO Show segment for later on.

Schism vs. Cameron Grimes & The OC

Grimes and Jagger start. Jagger gets beat up and tags in Fowler, who also takes several chest kicks from Grimes. Jagger comes back in and stomps on Grimes. Grimes does a double takedown on Dyad. Anderson and Fowler work in the corner as Karl delivers chops, cover. Gallows unloads with punches to Fowler’s midsection, elbow drops follow. Anderson applies a headlock, but Jagger gets the tag. Outside the ring, Jagger punches Karl and sends him back in. Dyad double teams Anderson before hugging Gacy. Jagger stomps on Anderson, then they trade punches. Grimes tags in with a crossbody. Action breaks down with all six men brawling.

After the break, Gacy takes Grimes down with a crossbody before delivering an elbow drop. Gacy hits corner clotheslines. Grimes comes back with punches. Fowler comes in and knocks Karl off. Grimes breaks free and tags Gallows. Gallows unloads on both Fowler and Jagger. Gallows kicks Jagger out and then plants Fowler. Jagger breaks up Magic Killer. Gacy takes down Grimes then eats a neckbreaker from Karl. Grimes hits Fowler with Cave In. Jagger eats an Anderson spinebuster. Magic Killer connects. Gallows pins Jagger for the win.

Winners: Cameron Grimes & The OC

Veer Mahaan is asked about what he told Sanga last week. Veer says McKenzie and the rest of the world will not get an answer as it was only for Sanga to hear. Sanga interrupts and says he’s ready to listen. Veer is pleased and the two leave together.

A video package on Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark airs. We cut to a backstage contract signing between the two teams. Stark says they will prove the champs wrong next week. Carter says they’re going to learn what it’s like to think they’re ready, but they’re not. Lyons and Stark say they are ready.

Julius Creed and Damon Kemp participate in a sit down split screen interview. Creed says his career is on the line, but he’s going to use his nerves to crush Kemp. Creed runs down how Kemp betrayed them. Kemp says there are two sides to Julius, one of which is jealous of Kemp. Creed calls him a clout chaser. Kemp says this isn’t an amateur match, it’s an Ambulance match. Creed says Kemp peaked in high school and isn’t even the best athlete in his family. Kemp finishes by saying Brutus will be standing in the unemployment line because he’ll need a job.

Alicia Taylor welcomes the host of Halloween Havoc – Shotzi! She lets out an evil laugh and talks about how she’s the one WWE superstar that screams Halloween. She loved hosting in 2020 and wants to go even more balls to the wall this year. She’ll get the last piece to her costume on Friday when she wins the tag titles from Damage CTRL. Xyon Quinn interrupts and calls her the best host. Quinn pitches himself to be the co-host until Quincy Elliott cuts them off. Quincy says he’s a big fan of Shotzi and pitches himself to be the co-host. Shotzi says the winner of their match right now gets to be the co-host. Elliott sends Xyon crashing out of the ring.

Quincy Elliott vs. Xyon Quinn

Shotzi joins commentary. Quinn has Quincy in a headlock briefly. Quincy punches his way free and does a couple shoulder tackles. Xyon goes to grab a chair and runs into Hank Walker in the time keeper’s area. Xyon returns to the ring and is flatted by Elliott for the pinfall.

Winner: Quincy Elliott

Thea Hail is down about losing to Kiana James. Chase starts class on Halloween Havoc. We see historic moments from the past. Chase says their homework is to watch Halloween Havoc on Saturday. Chucky interrupts, which prompts Bodhi to yell at the screen. Chucky cusses him out and says “now that is a teachable moment.”

Raquel Rodriguez vs. Cora Jade

Raquel tosses Cora around to start. Raquel holds Cora against the announce desk for a big chop. She goes for another, but Cora moves. Cora unloads with kicks and punches to keep her down. Perez introduces her stick and pisses Raquel off enough to the point that Raquel beats Cora with it.

Winner: Cora Jade by DQ

Roxanne Perez attacks Jade on the ramp and chases her away with the stick. Raquel lifts up Roxanne to stand tall.

Tag Team Title Tuesday is set for next week:

  • Katana Chance & Kayden Carter (c) vs. Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark
  • Pretty Deadly (c) vs. Edris Enofe & Malik Blade

McKenzie Mitchell and Sam Roberts will host the Halloween Havoc kickoff with Dave Legreca as a special guest.

Briggs and Jensen get Ikemen Jiro to chug at a backstage party.

KO Show

After the break, Bron Breakker joins Kevin Owens, JD McDonagh, and Ilja Dragunov in the ring. KO butcher’s JD’s last night before JD says he’s walking out with the title on Saturday. Ilja says he intended to hit JD before, but he’s not sorry about hitting Breakker. Ilja says he will recapture what should’ve been his in the first place. Breakker brings up how he speared Ilja last week. Bron says if he wants a friend, then get a dog. Owens intervenes and turns the focus back putting down McDonagh. Kevin brings up how JD is hoping to sneak in and steal the title when Bron and Ilja are busy tearing each other apart. Kevin says no one, including JD’s own mom, wants JD to win the title. Ilja brings up how Bron lost the title in the last triple threat he was in. Bron’s facing Ilja as Kevin clears the ring. Ilja and Bron get pulled apart by security as JD watches. Ilja takes Bron down and then headbutts JD. JD is taken down with a headbutt as well. Ilja stands tall with the title until Theory enters and teases cashing in on the NXT title to close the show.
