NJPW President Takami Ohbari discusses the reigning NEVER Openweight Champion Karl Anderson being double booked for NJPW Battle Autumn and WWE Crown Jewel on November 5.
The Good Brothers (Anderson and Doc Gallows) returned to WWE on the October 10 episode of WWE RAW. NJPW has continued to advertise Anderson for the Battle Autumn event, where he is scheduled to defend his title against Hikuleo, even after he and Gallows were announced for the WWE Crown Jewel show on the same day. The duo shared a video on social media in which they claimed they “ain’t comin'” to Battle Autumn.
In a tweet, Ohbari stated that NJPW is doing everything it can to deliver the announced matches on November 5. He made it clear that all wrestlers, especially champions, are expected to compete when they are advertised to do so.
“We are doing all we can to ensure every signed match in Osaka on November 5 happens as promised,” Ohbari wrote. “We expect all wrestlers, especially champions, to honor their advertised commitments.”
