Kamille: I’m A Great Representative For The NWA And Proud To Be Champion

Kamille has surely evolved since her early days in the National Wrestling Alliance.

With now over 500 days with the NWA Women’s Championship, “The Brickhouse” has made her mark in the National Wrestling Alliance. Defeating the likes of KiLynn King, Taya Valkyrie, and Kylie Rae in title defenses, Kamille gradually cemented her legacy with The Burke. Before she began racking up wins in the squared circle, however, Kamille arrived to the NWA as an insurance policy for Strictly Business in 2018.

Soon after, Kamille would officially enter the ring.

“When I started with the NWA, there was no plans to even get back into wrestling,” she told Love Wrestling, explaining NWA’s investment on her. “And so about like I’d say, eight months to a year and Billy Corgan was like, ‘hey, we want to invest in you as a wrestler’. Luckily, at that point, I was kind of ready for that step. Because I’d wrestled previously, and then you know, it’s like, if you’ve ever played a sport, and then you become just a spectator of it, you’re like, ‘Ah, I wish I could get back in there play.’So, I was missing it a little bit.

“Then when I became champion, I think I had only had like, four matches or so with NWA at that point. And so, you know, honestly, I was very nervous, like, ‘am I even ready to be a champion? Can I go from having squash matches to championship matches?’ It was a big deal! Then I just gained more confidence and more confidence, every match I went into, and now at the point where, ‘hell yeah, I’m the champion, and deservingly so!’ I think I’m a great representative for the NWA, and I’m super proud to hold a title that has so much lineage behind it.”

Kamille will defend her NWA Women’s Championship this Saturday, November 12th at the promotion’s Hard Times 3 event. There, she takes on KiLynn King and Chelsea Green in a triple threat match.
