Peoria Civic Center Issues Statement On Recent WWE Fan Incident Involving Scarlett

The Peoria Civic Center in Illinois has released a statement following a recent incident involving a drink being thrown at WWE Superstar Scarlett.

On November 12th, WWE held a house show event where Karrion Kross squared off with “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre. Kross’ real-life wife and manager Scarlett arrived with him to ringside, before meeting a drink to the face. A woman in the third row reportedly threw the beverage before she was escorted out with her family, and police were called.

The Peoria Civic Center later responded to the incident, in a quote released by the center’s director of sales and marketing, via WMBD News in Peoria:

“We are aware of the incident that took place at the WWE event on Saturday, November 12. Fortunately, our Peoria Civic Center security team along with the Peoria Police quickly identified the individuals responsible and escorted them out of the building for the remainder of the show. While we were disappointed in the actions of a couple and the brief distraction they caused, over 4,000 enthusiastic WWE fans were treated to a very entertaining event.”

According to WMBD news, local police also said no charges were filed linked to the incident. In addition, no official arrests arose either.

Despite the unfortunate circumstances, Peoria Civic Center General Manager Rik Edgar revealed some good news, The Saturday show “had the highest gross sales for any WWE show in Civic Center history.”

Scarlett later took to Twitter that night to respond to the fan and the incident in question:

“As a classy woman from Chicago, I’m not surprised that something like this would happen in Peoria. PS. To the granny who threw the drink, your booze was as cheap as your hairdo.”
