AEW Dynamite Results (11/23/22): Full Gear Fallout, ROH World Title Match, And More

All Elite Wrestling presented a new episode of AEW Dynamite on November 23, just a few days after AEW Full Gear.

On Thanksgiving eve, the show featured two title matches. Chris Jericho defended the ROH World Championship against Tomohiro Ishii, and Jake Hager challenged Orange Cassidy for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship. Plus, The Elite faced Death Triangle in the second match of their Best of Seven series.

The results are as follows:

In-Ring Segment: William Regal

Regal says MJF will be here next week; he’s absent because he’s working on a movie. He brings up his new alliance with MJF and says he sent “The Salt of the Earth” of an email. He leaves it at that, noting that MJF will explain everything next week. Jon Moxley comes to the ring, but Bryan Danielson stops him from attacking Regal. Danielson says he doesn’t know why Regal did what he did on Saturday, but they’ve all done bad things. Danielson asks Mox not to hurt Regal. Moxley is clearly mad, and Danielson slaps him in the face. “The American Dragon” says his dad struggled with the same things that Moxley did, and Regal was the only person who could help him understand. He says Regal gave him the ability to love his dad and asked Moxley to imagine someone teaching his daughter to love him with his struggles. Danielson says he loves Regal. Moxley gets in Regal’s face. He tells him to run away and never come back. Moxley is clearly emotional as Regal walks away.

Backstage, Renee Paquette asks Keith Lee about what happened at AEW Full Gear. Swerve Strickland shows up and gets in Lee’s face. He says, “Let’s talk”.

AEW All-Atlantic Championship: Orange Cassidy (with Trent Beretta, Rocky Romero, and Chuck Taylor) vs. Jake Hager (with Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, and Danielson)

Hager puts Cassidy’s sunglasses on. Hager briefly gains the upper hand. Cassidy slams his head into the turnbuckle, and Hager gets mad when his hat gets knocked off. Garcia takes the hat from Cassidy. Romero pulls Garcia off the apron. Hager catches a diving Cassidy and slams him into the ring post. Parker puts the hat on Hager. The powerhouse grounds Cassidy and overpowers him. He wrenches “Freshly Squeezed” in a bearhug. Hager maintains the advantage. He punches Cassidy, who falls off the apron and into the waiting hands of Beretta, Taylor, and Romero. Cassidy dives onto the JAS members at ringside. The champion hits the Stun-Dog Millionaire and drops him with a DDT. Hager counters the Orange Punch and slams Cassidy.

Hager goes for an ankle lock, but Cassidy kicks the hat off. Hager releases the hold. Cassidy capitalizes by hitting the Orange Punch and rolling Hager up for the win.

Winner and still AEW All-Atlantic Champion: Orange Cassidy

The Factory comes to the ring, prepared to attack Cassidy. The lights go out, and The House of Black is standing in the ring when they come back on. The trio attacks everyone and leaves them lying. Malakai Black gets a microphone and tells the members of the House of Black to rise.

In a video package, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry says his win over Luchasaurus at AEW Full Gear was cathartic.

AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Finals: Ricky Starks vs. Ethan Page (with Stokely Hathaway)

Starks’ ribs are taped up, and he’s clearly not 100%. The two competitors feel each other out, and Page targets the injured ribs. Starks takes the fight to Page and unloads on him in the corner. Page gains the upper hand as he continues to hone in on the ribs. He stomps on the ribs in the corner, but Starks floors him with a Spear out of nowhere. Starks leaves the ring, and Page slams him rib-first into the barricade. Page brings Starks back to the ring and continues to control the action. He squashes a brief surge of offense from Starks and drops him with a suplex. Starks keeps fighting, and he goes for a dive, but Hathaway pulls Page out of the way, so Starks lands hard on the floor. Starks hits a superplex, and both men down. Page counters the Roshambo and gets a two count with a powerslam.

Starks hits a Spear and follows that up with another before he pins Page for the win.

Winner: Ricky Starks

In a video package, Wardlow discusses losing the AEW TNT Championship at AEW Full Gear. He claims he’s still the TNT Champion.

Footage of Jade Cargill’s confrontation with Bow Wow plays. In an interview, Cargill refuses to give more clout to that “whack-ass” rapper. She says they’re going to have a celebration next week. Mark Sterling reads her official statement, which is simply “no comment.” Sterling then informs Kiera Hogan that she failed to live up to what was expected of her as a Baddie, so her services are no longer needed.
