MLW Fusion Results – December 15, 2022: Davey Richards Defends The National Openweight Championship Against SB KENTo

MLW Fusion Results – December 15, 2022

MLW Fusion kicked off with highlights from last week’s show before shifting to the commentary team at ringside as they rundown tonight’s show and kick things off with the opening contest.

Star Rogers defeated Cosmos

  • Star Rogers hit a top rope Spanish Fly on Cosmos to secure the pinfall victory.

They recap the brawl from last week’s episode between EJ Nduka and MLW World Heavyweight Champion Alex Hammerstone.

EJ Nduka arrives at the arena in the parking lot. Even though MLW is in Atlanta this week, for some reason, the interview was recorded outside the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. Nduka even states that he’s in Philly. Nduka questions how Hammerstone can drive him off the stage, yet he’s the one that got hurt. He jokes that Hammerstone doesn’t know how to tackle.

There is a backstage segment between The Samoan SWAT Team, who discuss getting a shot at the MLW World Tag Team titles.

MLW continues to hype the feud between Mance Warner and Mads Krügger, and Warner goes hunting for butterflies with Microman. It’s announced that there will be a tables match between these two men next week.

It’s announced that Lady Flammer will get her title shot against Taya Valkyrie next week in the main event.

Davey Richards defeated SB KENTo to retain the MLW National Openweight Championship

  • Davey Richards forced SB KENTo to tap out to a grapevine ankle lock submission to retain his championship.

Davey Richards showed respect to SB KENTo following the match, and KENTo returned the gesture in kind.

Richards is interviewed after the match at ringside and announced that he’s going after Alex Kane to get the Opera Cup back as MLW Fusion goes off the air.
