Anthony Greene Set To Make IMPACT Wrestling Debut

It appears that former WWE NXT Superstar Anthony Greene has found a new home in IMPACT Wrestling.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Greene worked several matches at IMPACT Wrestling’s television tapings last weekend in Florida.

IMPACT recorded multiple weeks of television on December 9 and 10, which will most likely run them all the way to their Hard to Kill pay-per-view on January 13.

Greene, who worked under the name August Grey was released from WWE in June 2021 and has spent the last year performing across the independents and has made multiple appearances on AEW Dark. Greene has spent the last several months working for Pro Wrestling NOAH. There’s been no indication yet if Greene has signed a contract with IMPACT or not.

Independent wrestling star Davienne appeared on The Shining Wizards podcast and explained how Anthony Greene and JT Dunn were instrumental in her continued success after she ‘fell out of love’ with professional wrestling.

“Those two never gave up on me even when I had given up on me.  I’ve been pretty vocal recently around June of last year and I had decided to quit wrestling. Anthony & JT were very, very supportive, but Anthony just kept dragging me to training and I was like, “I don’t wrestle anymore, why am I going to training?” Anthony was like, “you need to go, you need to go.” Then I fell in love with wrestling again and I got out of my funk, and those two never gave up on me.  They saw something in me that I didn’t.  Now that I kind of realize it, I am putting out the best work that I have in 8 years and other people are starting to catch on because I believe in myself now.”
