Tyrus had an eventful weekend.
At NWA Nuff Said on February 11, Tyrus defeated Matt Cardona to retain the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Bully Ray helped him score the win, and the champion teased a match between the two at the end of the show.
The following day, Tyrus appeared in a commercial during Super Bowl LVII, where the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Philadelphia Eagles. Tyrus, wearing chain mail that may have reminded wrestling fans of Scott Steiner, was seen during an advertisement for “Gutfeld!”, a show that airs on FOX Nation. In the commercial, he had the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship with him. Tyrus often appears on the show, and he is also the co-host of the FOX podcast Tyrus and Timpf.
