Tony Khan: I Really Like Pop Punk, Blink-182 Is One Of My Favorite Bands Ever

Tony Khan talks about his favorite genres of music and celebrity cameos in AEW.

Tony Khan has done a lot of interviews in recent weeks covering a lot of major topics. now, it’s time to talk about all the small things.

In its short history, AEW has had cameos from Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Rosario Dawson, Bow Wow, and more.

Recently, Tony Khan explained how his connections in the music industry led to his involvements in the wrestling industry, noting that he is an owner and partner in Activist Artist Management. Tony also revealed that he is a fan of pop punk music and says genre staple Blink-182 is one of his favorite bands ever.

“Well, I work in music management, actually, that’s part of how I got into the wrestling business I am owner and a partner in a company called Activist Artists Management out of LA,” said Tony on Bex & Buster. “We manage the Grateful Dead, The Lumineers, Dwight Yoakam, and some great artists. So yeah, it’s a great business. That’s part of how I actually got into the wrestling business through those connections, so in addition to the bands we represent, I really like pop punk and stuff like that.”

Specifically, Tony Khan says that Blink-182 is one of his favorite bands and recalled their brief cameo at AEW Fyter Fest 2019, saying they were very nice to film something for them. Tony also praised Snoop Dogg and Rick Ross for the work that they’ve done in All Elite Wrestling.

“Blink-182 did something with us in AEW, and they were tremendous. They were really nice to do it several years ago, and they’re also one of my favorite bands ever. We’ve had great musicians in AEW, Snoop Dogg, one of my all-time favorites has also been with us in AEW. Rick Ross, that was a great one. Certainly, in addition to some of the people we’ve had in AEW, there’s a lot of other classic music I listen to, classic rock, stuff like that,” he said.

Asked what names would be on his wish list of celebrity cameos, Tony Khan said he doesn’t want to spoil anything for the future, leaving it up to the listeners imaginations.

“Yeah, there’s I think there’s a lot of great opportunities. I don’t want to spoil any of those names in advance, but yes, there’s certainly a big list of great celebrities and athletes we’d love to have in AEW. Certainly a lot of musicians too,” he said.
