Edge Gives Update On When He’d Like His Final Match To Take Place

Edge is focused on living in the moment right now.

Edge previously said he wanted to have his final match in Canada, telling a Toronto crowd at a WWE RAW taping that he could see that match taking place in August 2023.

Now, Graham Matthews of Bleacher Report asked him during the Elimination Chamber post-show press conference if he was still sticking to that plan. Edge said that he’s having fun and not really thinking that far ahead, although he’d still like it to be in Canada.

“I try not to make any firm decisions, but here’s what I can say about tonight — for nine years, I was retired. I come back and I get to team with my wife, who I married while I was retired and had two beautiful little girls with. The fact that we get to do this at all? I never thought this would happen. So we’re out there and if it looks like we’re having fun, it’s because we are. We’re having a blast. I get to stand shoulder to shoulder with this woman, I get to hit a Shatter Machine, which we’ve never even attempted before and pulled off, and she hasn’t wrestled a match in a year and one month and hops in there tonight in that kind of pressure cooker against two talents like that. Man, I’m just ecstatic. I’m not even thinking about what I’m having for breakfast tomorrow, let alone what I’m going to do five, six, seven or eight months from now. But I will say I would like it to be in Canada.”

WWE’s return to Canada has not been announced yet; the company has events announced through May 2023 at this time.
