Dominik Mysterio Reflects On His WWE Run So Far, Says His Growth Has Been ‘Pretty Crazy’

Dominik Mysterio looks back on his journey in WWE up to this point.

Since his in-ring debut at WWE SummerSlam 2020, Dominik has been a prominent member of the WWE roster. He first teamed up with his father, Rey Mysterio, before he turned heel and joined The Judgment Day at WWE Clash at the Castle 2022. Alongside Rhea Ripley, Finn Balor, and Damian Priest, Dominik has been featured on WWE RAW on a regular basis.

Speaking with Alex McCarthy for Inside The Ropes, Dominik discussed his run in recent months and made it clear that he appreciates having the opportunity to be part of the group. He noted that they all fit well together, and everything worked out.

“It’s really cool to see,” Dominik said. “It’s a blessing especially, for me, being able to be part of such a cool [group], and something that fits so well for me, especially the way we all manage to get along, between Rhea, Finn, Damian and myself, it just all really worked out.”

Dominik went on to describe how the evolution of his character has been exciting because he believes there’s a lot they can do with it. He cited the “Prison Dom” shift as an example and emphasized that it has been fun.

“It’s honestly been so crazy. There’s so much that I can do with my character,” Dominik said. “Starting off with the Judgment Day at first, I was just a guy who was tired of being with my dad who didn’t listen to me. Now I got Mami, who’s with me, she’s backing me up, telling me what I want to hear. Then I go and do some hard time, and it changes my whole demeanor and who I can and how I carry myself and my crew backs me up. There’s just so many things that we can go on from there and continue to play with this ‘Prison Dom’, or even just ‘Evil Dom’ character that makes it so much fun.”

Looking back on his journey up to this point, Dominik shared his belief that his growth has been “pretty crazy,” and he repeated that he feels fortunate to be in the position that he’s in.

“I’m not even three years in, and I feel like my growth has just been pretty crazy,” Dominik said. “I’m very fortunate to be in the position that I’m in, and I’m very blessed, and I understand that. But I also understand that I don’t need the green light from my dad. I get the green light from the Judgment Day fame, who’s been gaslighting me and hyping me up, and literally building me up to what I can be. So I’m gonna give my credit to them.”

In the same interview, Dominik stated that he didn’t think Rey Mysterio had the “balls” to face him. Check out his comments here.
