Eddie Edwards Signs New Deal With IMPACT Wrestling

Eddie Edwards has put pen to paper on a new deal with IMPACT Wrestling.

Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the two-time IMPACT World Champion has inked a new deal with the company. Edwards commented on the news by making it clear that he wants to stay with IMPACT for the long haul, and he’s excited for the future.

“I’m doing good,” Edwards said. “I am happy that it’s, we’re at the point where I got to sign a new deal.  Clearly, IMPACT and myself, we have a pretty good relationship. It’s been, what, nine years at this point?  Basically, we’ve been together and obviously, you know, the front office has changed time and time again, but I can comfortably say that right now is the best relationship I have had with the front office and I think that it’s that way for a lot of people in the locker room.

“There’s a very open door policy, and I think that shows in the locker room that we have, and it shows.  It shows a lot of faith in our locker room and in the front office that we can go back and forth to things.  I think I’ve made it pretty clear to a lot of people that myself and, you know, my wife Alesha, we are IMPACT Wrestling. We want to be in IMPACT Wrestling. We want to stay in IMPACT Wrestling, you know, forever.   That is my goal.  Luckily, IMPACT has always treated me well, and I’m just glad that I got to sign on the dotted line and, and continue going for them.   I’m just excited for the future at this point.”

The veteran also stated that he feels like he has always been treated with respect by IMPACT management, and he doesn’t feel like he’s taken for granted.

Edwards is one of the longest-tenured members of the IMPACT roster; he arrived in TNA in 2014, and he has remained with the company ever since. In addition to his world title runs, he is a two-time X-Division Champion and a five-time Tag Team Champion. Prior to his arrival in TNA, he had a successful run in ROH, where he won the ROH World Championship. He has also wrestled for Pro Wrestling NOAH, among other promotions.
