Bryan Danielson Says He’s In ‘A Ton Of Pain’ After AEW Revolution

Bryan Danielson offers an update in the aftermath of AEW Revolution.

At the pay-per-view on March 5, Danielson challenged MJF for the AEW World Championship in a 60-Minute Iron Man Match. The grueling contest went to overtime, and MJF ultimately scored the win by making Danielson tap out.

During an appearance on the Unconsciously Coupled podcast, Danielson described the way kids understand when he’s in a lot of pain, even if they can’t comprehend the anxiety and depression he deals with. He referenced the Iron Man match and made it clear that he came out of the match somewhat banged up.

“Legitimately, I’m in a ton of pain. I just wrestled for over 65 minutes. I’ve got a black eye. I can’t lift my left arm past here [partially raises arm]. I have shooting pain going down my leg. There’s this big gaping wound on my stomach. Those kind of things, it’s like, ‘Oh, sorry, daddy is in a lot of pain.’ They understand that, but as they get older, they’re going to understand that some of this is not physical.” (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription).

During the March 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, Danielson said it was time for him to go home, and it’s unclear when he will wrestle again.

WrestleZone has coverage of AEW Dynamite as it airs every Wednesday.
