One of the Best Friends wasn’t present on the March 15 episode of AEW Dynamite, and in a message on Twitter, Chuck Taylor explained why he didn’t appear.
Taylor, Trent Beretta and Cassidy are often paired up together on AEW TV. When Cassidy defended the AEW International Championship against Jeff Jarrett on Wednesday, he was outnumbered because Jarrett had Satnam Singh, Jay Lethal, and Sonjay Dutt at ringside. Beretta eventually came to the ring to help Cassidy, but Taylor was absent.
Taylor then took to social media on Wednesday to reveal that he wasn’t able to help Cassidy during the show because he had to get emergency dental surgery. He shared the news with a an X-ray of his mouth, and a picture of his bloody smile. It’s unclear exactly what type of surgery Taylor had. In his tweet, he apologized for not helping and joked that he hopes he got a ticket to Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which AEW had been promoting with Cassidy’s match.
WrestleZone wishes Taylor well in his recovery, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
