Ian Riccaboni Comments On ROH TV Milestone, Expresses His Gratitude

Ian Riccaboni said he’s grateful for the opportunities he had had over the years after he made history as a commentator for Ring of Honor.

Riccaboni called his first match for ROH in 2015, and he eventually worked his way up to the lead announcer role in 2017. He remained with the company until it went on hiatus following the Final Battle pay-per-view in 2021. When Tony Khan acquired ROH in March 2022, Riccaboni was brought back for the first pay-per-view of the new era, Supercard of Honor XV. He and his broadcast partner, Caprice Coleman, have been the commentary team for the subsequent ROH pay-per-views. They also commentate ROH’s new television show, which premiered on March 2.

On March 16, the newest episode of ROH’s television show aired on HonorClub, and Riccaboni called the action alongside Coleman. The next day, Riccaboni took to Twitter to note that the episode was his 271st, though he admitted that the non-traditional pandemic schedule made it difficult to count. Regardless, he made it clear that he was grateful for the opportunities and the fun he has had. He also thanked his broadcast partners, Coleman and Colt Cabana, as well as the producers that put him in positions to succeed.

The message is as follows:

“Last night was my 271 episode (I think? The non-traditional pandemic schedule shuffled everything about and makes it harder than you think to count.) of ROH Television.

This would mean I called more ROH TV than anyone else. This means the world to me. Just want to share my gratitude for the opportunities and fun throughout the years! Thanks to Caprice and Colt over the years for being great partners and the various producers that put me in positions to succeed over the years. Here’s to 271 (? Maybe?) more!

(And if for some reason the math is not quite right, don’t tell me until it is and I’ll just retweet this out.)”

ROH will hold the Supercard of Honor pay-per-view on March 31.
