Thunder Rosa provides an injury update.
Rosa has not wrestled since August 2022. At the time, she was set to defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Toni Storm at AEW All Out 2022, but she was forced to pull out of the match due to a back injury. AEW crowned an interim champion at the pay-per-view, and Rosa subsequently relinquished the title.
During the Busted Open WrestleMania Party, Rosa commented on her recovery and noted that she doesn’t think she’s going to get cleared to compete anytime soon.
“That’s the question everyone asks me during the signings,” Rosa said. “Unfortunately, I wasn’t cleared and I don’t think I’m going to be cleared anytime soon. I need another MRI. (Transcription credit of Jeremy Lambert of Fightful)
