Thunder Rosa Joins AEW As Spanish Commentator And On-Screen Personality While Recovery Continues

Thunder Rosa is starting a new role with All Elite Wrestling while her recovery from an injury continues.

Rosa hasn’t wrestled since August 2022. At the time, she was the reigning AEW Women’s World Championship. Due to an injury, she was unable to defend the title, so AEW crowned an Interim AEW Women’s World Champion at AEW All Out 2022; there, Toni Storm defeated Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, and Hikaru Shida to win the gold. Rosa’s absence continued, and Jamie Hayter was named the lineal AEW Women’s World Champion after she dethroned Storm at AEW Full Gear in November. Since then, Rosa has offered multiple updates about her recovery, but it has been unclear when she will return to the ring.

On February 14, Rosa announced that she will be joining AEW as a Spanish commentator and on-screen personality while she continues her road to recovery. She referenced her journey up to this point by stating that there are ups and downs with health, but she’s excited about her new role.

WrestleZone will provide more information about Rosa’s new role and her recovery as it becomes available.
