WrestleMania 39 Is The Most Successful And Highest-Grossing Event In WWE History

WWE WrestleMania 39 was a smashing success.

WWE announced WrestleMania 39 is now the most successful and highest-grossing event in company history. The two-night event took place on April 1 and 2 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, selling out both nights with a total of 161,892 fans in attendance.

WWE set multiple new records for viewership, gate, sponsorship, merchandise, and social media.

The event generated a gate of more than $21.6 million, breaking the previous record by 27 percent. Additionally, WrestleMania 39 sponsorship revenue was more than $20 million, which was more than double the previous record. Merchandise sales also increased by more than 20 percent compared to the previous year.

At home, Night Two set a new global viewership record by 33 percent, which beat the then-new record Night One set the night prior. WrestleMania 39 was also the most social WrestleMania of all time, logging more than 500 million views and 11 million hours of video watched on both days, breaking last year’s record by 42 percent.

WrestleMania 40 will emanate from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia in 2024.
