Bret Hart Would Love To Sit Down With CM Punk And Plan Out A Match Together

Bret Hart is very appreciative of FTR and CM Punk keeping his memory alive in professional wrestling.

WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart was a recent guest on The Wrestling Classic to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about working with FTR at Big Time Wrestling, Hart said Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are great guys to work with, and he appreciates them keeping his name out there in 2023.

“They’ve been great guys to work with. They’ve done a lot to put my name back there, and the way they appreciate my work and all that, it means a lot to me,” Bret Hart said. “I think it’s often overlooked sometimes, the little details of what I did in the ring all the time that made me different than some of the other wrestlers. They make note of it and bring it to light and tell people, and then people start thinking about it. They really made a big difference in the last couple of years.”

The Hitman then turned his attention to CM Punk, who has also gone out of his way to put over Hart in recent years and has been very complimentary of his body of work.

“Punk is one of my favorite workers in the business ever, and I might give him my jersey today if I see him,” Bret Hart said. “He’s always been one of my most favorite wrestlers.”

When asked if he’s ever thought about what a match between him and CM Punk would look like, Hart said he would love to sit down with Punk and plan out what a match between the two of them would look like and have someone animate it.

“Oh, it’s fun for me to even imagine,” Bret Hart admitted. “I wish even if we didn’t do the match, I wish we could sit down, just plan the match and then animate it. I still come up with a lot of ideas for matches.”
