Ring of Honor Results – April 6, 2023

Ring of Honor Wrestling on HonorClub kicks off with a promo from Christopher Daniels challenging Katsuyori Shibata for a shot at the Ring of Honor Pure Championship on tonight’s show.

Daniels talks about defeating Shibata every time they’ve stepped in the ring but knows Shibata is a different competitor than the last time they faced off. The Fallen Angel said he’s not afraid of a challenge.

The Lucha Brothers and Mark Briscoe defeated The WorkHorsemen and Shane Taylor

  • AEW TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs and QT Marshall watched the match in front-row seats as Mark Briscoe hits the Jay Driller on Anthony Henry to score the pinfall victory for his team.

The Lucha Bros will defend the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Titles against Powerhouse Hobbs and QT Marshall at AEW Battle of the Belts VI tomorrow night.

Katsuyori Shibata defeated Christopher Daniels to retain the Ring of Honor Pure Championship

  • Katsuyori Shibata hits the G2PK on Christopher Daniels to score a pinfall victory and retains his championship.

There is a showing of mutual respect between Shibata and Daniels after the match.

Ring of Honor World Champion Claudio Castagnoli is being interviewed backstage and is asked who might be the next challenger for his title. Castagnoli said he did exactly what he said he was going to do and defeated Eddie Kingston at Supercard of Honor.

He drags Kingston for his profanity-filled promo following the match and said it’s not something that can be aired anywhere. He said he will continue to defend the championship against anyone who proves themselves to be worthy of a title shot.

Ring of Honor Six-Man Tag Team Champion Brian Cage defeated Ortiz

  • Brian Cage hit the Drill Claw on Ortiz to score the pinfall victory.

Jay Lethal defeated Darius Martin

  • The Kingdom was on commentary for this match. Matt Taven eventually leaves the commentary table and superkicked Darius Martin while the referee’s back was turned. Jay Lethal followed it up with the Lethal Injection to pick up the win.

Dralistico and Rush defeated The Infantry

  • Dralistico hit a Go 2 Sleep variant on Shawn Dean to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Daniel Garcia defeated Tracy Williams

  • Daniel Garcia hit Bloody Cross on Tracy Williams to pick up the win.

Willow Nightingale defeated Notorious Mimi

  • Willow Nightingale executes a powerbomb pinfall combination to pick up the victory.

The Righteous defeated Even Stevens 

  • Vincent and Dutch hit Autumn Sunshine on Stephen Azure, and Vincent scores the pinfall win for The Righteous.

Konosuke Takeshita defeated Tony Nese

  • Konosuke Takeshita hit a rolling german suplex with a bridge to score the pin.

Athena defeated Miyu Yamashita to retain the Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship

  • Miyu Yamashita tried to hit the skull kick on Athena, but the champion ducked it and put her in the crossface. The referee eventually stopped the match when Yamashita passed out.

Athena celebrated with her championship in the aisleway as Ring of Honor Wrestling goes off the air.
