Alex Hammerstone has seemingly suffered an injury.
The April 18 episode of MLW Underground was headlined by a War Chamber match pitting Team Hammerstone (Alex Hammerstone, Mance Warner, 1 Called Manders, and Matthew Justice) against The Calling (Rickey Shane Page, AKIRA, Delirious, and Doctor Cornwallis). Hammerstone went down with an injury shortly after he entered the match, and he was taken to the back.
Later on, MLW CEO Court Bauer addressed Hammerstone’s status and said he was heading to the hospital to be checked out. Regarding an interim champion potentially being crowned, Bauer noted that he’d prefer not to go that route; instead, he wants to take things day by day.
Hammerstone has held the MLW World Heavyweight Championship since October 2021. He beat Jacob Fatu and ended record-breaking reign to win the gold at MLW Fightland.
