Premier Streaming Network Wrestling Showcase Announced For September

Premier Streaming Network is bringing back The Wrestling Showcase.

Freddie Prinze Jr., who recently joined the platform as a co-owner, announced that the Premier Streaming Network Wrestling Showcase will be held on September 9. Men’s and Women’s Premier Streaming Network World Champions will be crowned.

Additional details were not shared, but more information will be provided soon.

The Wrestling Showcase, a one-night tournament, was held on September 3, 2022, and it featured talent from multiple companies. Matt Cardona won the tournament and the Wrestling Showcase Championship when he beat Josh Alexander and Jacob Fatu in a three-way match.

That tournament aired on FITE on AEW All Out weekend. WrestleZone spoke with Premier’s Josh Shernoff, Fred Shernoff and Paul Owen about the tournament possibly finding a home on their newly-launched streaming app, as well as how they plan to add content. Owen compared the experience to being a museum content curator, noting how much care goes into putting out the best product.

“Come on by, you’ll want to come back,” Owen said.
