Kurt Angle Reached Out To Kevin Feige For MCU Role

Kurt Angle wanted to be part of another “Universe.”

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle was asked if he’s ever tried being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Angle said he actually has tried, but nothing ever materialized.

“[Laughs] I’ve tried many times. It’s not that easy. I did get Kevin Feige’s contact information, and I reached out to him and told him that I’d be interested in doing a Marvel movie. He actually responded to me, but nothing ever came of it.

Co-host Paul Bromwell responded by saying, “Except for an autographed picture.”

“Yeah, for my nephew-in-law Jon Bernthal,” Angle said. “He actually gave me his contact information, so I talked to him, but unfortunately nothing has occurred since then.”

Jon Bernthal, best known for his work on The Walking Dead and The Punisher, is married to Kurt’s niece Erin. Bernthal is set to return as Frank Castle/The Punisher in Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+.

Angle previously expressed his interest in landing a role in a Marvel movie, and he stated that he loved Doctor Strange. Check out his comments here.
