Steph De Lander Says She’s Having More Fun Than Ever, Names Her Goals

Steph De Lander discusses her current run on the independent scene and says she’s having more fun than ever. She also names some of her goals, which range from winning titles to facing top stars like Mickie James.

De Lander was released by WWE on April 29, 2022. In recent months, she has been active on the independent scene, as she has wrestled for GCW, AIW, and other promotions. She has also competed for IMPACT and ROH.

Speaking with Jamie Apps for Pario Magazine, De Lander made it clear that she’s having more fun than ever.

“I’m having more fun now than I’ve ever had in wrestling,” De Lander said. “To me, that’s the aim

of the game in life… What I’m doing at the moment is as close to my real personality as it’s ever been… I feel like I’m bridging the gap between my true personality & my in-ring persona better than I ever have before, which is really fun.”

De Lander also named some of her goals; she emphasized that she wants to win a title in GCW and wrestle in numerous places. She also expressed her interest in facing Mickie James and Kamille.

“I want to win a title in GCW. I want to be in as many different places as possible. I want to wrestle for Progress in England & WXW in Germany. I’m looking to get into Mexico, I want to go to Japan & I’ve also never wrestled in Canada,” Steph told Pario excitedly. She has also set her sights on a few very specific targets, “I would love to wrestle Mickie James & I’d like to have a match with Kamille, I think that would be a really cool match up.”
