Apollo Crews Comments On Returning To WWE Raw

Apollo Crews speaks on his return to WWE Raw.

Apollo Crews returned to the Monday Night Raw roster as part of the WWE Draft in 2023. A former WWE Intercontinental and United States Champion, Crews returned on May 15 as part of a Battle Royal to crown a new top contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Even though Crews was unsuccessful, he spoke to Byron Saxton and was happy about returning to the Monday night show.

“It feels good, and I gotta say, the reaction that I got was amazing. It felt great to be out there in front of the Monday Night Raw crowd. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get it done tonight in the battle royal. But that’s just a little taste. There’s a lot more to go, there’s a lot more left where that came from. Just a little taste,” Crews said in a WWE digital exclusive. “Sometimes, I forget the accolades. United States Champion. Intercontinental Champion, won at WrestleMania. Sometimes I forget, but every day, I need to remind myself. I need to remind myself that I deserve to be here. I need to remind myself that I deserve every single opportunity that’s presented to me, and I’m gonna step out there and do it. What’s different? I see a lot of faces in the locker room, a lot of new faces in that locker room, but this is a different Apollo Crews as well, and everybody’s gonna get to see that when that time comes.”

Apollo Crews was a part of the WWE NXT roster for the majority of 2022, coming up short in his attempts to become WWE NXT Champion along the way.
