Ring of Honor Results – June 15, 2023

Ring of Honor Wrestling on HonorClub kicked off with brief backstage interview segments from both Matt Sydal and Samoa Joe discussing their upcoming match for the Ring of Honor World Television Championship.

Samoa Joe defeated Matt Sydal to retain the Ring of Honor World Television Championship

  • Samoa Joe hits a Muscle Buster on Matt Sydal to score the pinfall victory and retains his title.

Nick Comoroto defeated Deimos (w/ Teal Piper)

  • Nick Comoroto executed a stacking pin with his feet on the ropes to get the pinfall victory over Deimos.

We hear from Smart Mark Sterling backstage, who reveals he’s secured time for Tony Nese tonight in the ring to get something off his chest.

Iron Savages defeated Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus

  • Iron Savages hit a double-team splash on Rhett Titus to secure the pinfall victory.

We hear from The Workhorsemen backstage, they call out FTR for a future match because they stuck their nose in their business. Anthony Henry calls out Mark Briscoe for a match tonight because FTR aren’t in the building.

Diamante defeated Teal Piper (w/ Deimos)

  • Diamante wins the match via referee stoppage when Teal Piper passes out in a camel clutch variation submission hold.

Tony Nese has his interview in the ring alongside Ari Daivari and Smart Mark Sterling and says he doesn’t know why the crowd disrespects them. He said the reason they can’t earn the crowd’s respect is because they aren’t relatable. They will never be fat disgusting pieces of trash like everyone in the crowd. He said they’re going to turn everyone in the crowd into Varsity Athletes like them.

Nese said all the wrestling for tonight is now on hold and they are going to group exercises with the crowd instead. Nese used Daivari as the instructor, and they started with some stretching and moved on to squats and finally pushups. Before they could do more, they were interrupted by Serpentico.

Tony Nese (w/ Ari Daivari and Smart Mark Sterling) defeated Serpentico

  • Tony Nese hits the running knee in the corner on Serpentico and secures the pinfall victory.

“Kiera Hogan” is interviewed backstage, but it’s actually Athena making fun of her. Hogan eventually shows up and lays her out and tells Athena to keep her name out of her mouth.

Miranda Alize defeated Notorious Mimi

  • Miranda Alize hits The Driveby on Notorious Mimi to pick up the win via pinfall.

Stu Grayson and The Righteous defeated Dalton Castle and The Boys

  • After a triple-team maneuver, Stu Grayson pinned one of The Boys to secure the pinfall victory for his team.

We hear from The Dark Order backstage, John Silver said they aren’t impressed and Dark Order can get a lot more violent than that. Alex Reynolds said he’s used to people leaving the faction and this is nothing new. Evil Uno asked Grayson if The Righteous are his brothers and if they will be there for him when he needs them. Uno doesn’t think so.

Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena defeated Trish Adora in a Proving Ground Match

  • Athena hit The O Face on Trish Adora to score the pinfall victory.

Athena attacked Trish Adora after the bell, but before she could slam her face into the title Kiera Hogan comes out to get into another brawl with Athena. The brawl ends with Athena spearing Kiera Hogan through a table set up in the corner of the ring.

Mark Briscoe defeated Anthony Henry (w/ JD Drake)

  • Mark Briscoe hit the Jay Driller on Anthony Henry to win the match via pinfall.

We hear from Tony Khan who said we’re about to get a special match. He introduces Stokely Hathaway and Khan tells him that he really appreciates what Hathaway has done so far and that he’s been doing great things so far. Khan said Hathaway’s suggestion of putting Action Andretti in a handicap match against The Embassy led to the Six-Man Tag Team Title match we’ll see later on tonight.

They touch on the current rivalry between Athena and Kiera Hogan, Hathaway suggests they should book a Chicago Street Fight for the Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship next week. Khan agrees with Hathaway’s suggestion and books the match.

Daniel Garcia defeated The DKC in a Pure Rules Match

  • Daniel Garcia wins the match via submission with a modified Sharpshooter.

The Embassy is interviewed backstage, Prince Nana said the team needs more competition. Brian Cage said the competition in Ring of Honor is weak. Cage said you can keep lining them up and they’re gonna knock them all down.

Skye Blue defeated Viva Van

  • Skye Blue hit Skyfall on Viva Van to score the pinfall victory.

The Embassy defeated Action Andretti, Darius Martin, and AR Fox to retain the Ring of Honor World Six-Man Tag Team Titles

  • Brian Cage hit a Gory Special Flat Liner on Action Andretti to pick up the pinfall win for his team and retain their titles.

The Embassy celebrates in the ring with their titles as Ring of Honor Wrestling goes off the air.
