Zoey Stark says she gets good feedback on her promos, though she’s hard on herself and she thinks she had had a tough time with them.
Stark was previously featured on WWE NXT before she moved to WWE RAW in the 2023 WWE Draft. Not long after she joined the red brand, she aligned with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, and the duo has already proved to be a successful combination. The pairing has put Stark in the spotlight, and she frequently gets promo time on WWE RAW.
Speaking with Graham GSM Matthews for Daily DDT, Stark highlighted how she feels like she has a “tough time” with promos, but getting feedback helps her improve as she continues to gain experience.
“I’ve personally felt like I’ve always had a tough time with promos and I always get good feedback to them to where they say it’s really good but I’m so hard on myself where I’m always thinking I could have done this better or done that better,” Stark said. “I can really pick things apart and it’s not always the healthiest thing to do, but it does make me better for the next promo.”
Stark also described how WWE let her be herself in the video package that highlighted her personality shortly after she arrived on the red brand. She also made it clear that her pairing with Stratus has already been beneficial.
“I was a little worried they’d have be do something that doesn’t feel like me,” Stark said. “The fans can see when you’re putting on an act and you’re uncomfortable with what’s going on. I wanted to stay true to myself and who I am. Being able to work with Trish, I wasn’t expecting that, and that’s the other side of it. I get to learn from Trish now and take the lead from her.”
Stark will compete in the Women’s Money in the Bank Match at WWE Money in the Bank on July 1. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs on July 1.
