On the July 10 episode of WWE RAW, Drew McIntyre noted that he would miss the following week’s show because he would be away on company business. A new report shines some light on the situation.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the former WWE Champion has been cast in The Killer’s Game, an action movie starring Dave Bautista (formerly known as Batista) and Ice Cube. Director JJ Perry will lead the film for Lionsgate, and production is set to begin this summer in Budapest.
The film is based Jay Bonansinga’s novel and by Rand Ravich and Simon Kinberg, while James Coyne did some recent rewrites. Per Justin Kroll of Deadline, Bautista plays veteran assassin Joe Flood, who authorizes a kill on himself to avoid the pain of dealing with a life-threatening illness. After finding out that he was misdiagnosed, he has to “fend off the army of former colleagues trying to kill him.”
