NJPW Announces Philly Cheesesteak Cup Tag Ladder Match For All Star Junior Festival

New Japan Pro-Wrestling has added a star-studded match to All Star Junior Festival 2023.

NJPW confirmed that Rocky Romero and Hiromu Takahashi will face Master Wato & Blake Christian and DOUKI & Low Rider. The three teams will clash in a Philly Cheesesteak Cup Tag Team Ladder Match.

Takahashi is the reigning IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. He won the title at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 in January. Christian is the reigning GCW World Champion. He also competes for AEW and ROH. Romero has wrestled all over the world, and he holds the NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship.

NJPW Announced Another Match For All Star Junior Festival 

NJPW also announced that El Desperado and MAO will team up to face Nick Wayne and Jordan Oliver at the show. Oliver and and Wayne are the reigning GCW World Tag Team Champions. Wayne made his AEW in-ring debut on the July 12 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he lost to Swerve Strickland.

The day after All Star Junior Festival, NJPW stars will be back in Philadelphia for another show. The company will team up with IMPACT Wrestling for the Multiverse United 2 event on August 20. There, Alex Shelley will defend the IMPACT World Championship against Hiroshi Tanahashi. More information is available here.
