The rematch is set for WWE NXT No Mercy.
On the September 12 episode of WWE NXT, Ilja Dragunov faced Wes Lee in a #1 Contender’s Match. The winner of the bout would earn a shot at NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes at NXT No Mercy.
Dragunov and Lee battled it out in a thrilling match. In the end, Dragunov clinched the win as he pinned Lee to secure the opportunity. NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes came to the stage and stared Dragunov down after the bell.
Hayes previously beat Dragunov to retain the title at NXT Great American Bash.
