WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has apparently been sidelined.
On the September 15 episode of WWE SmackDown, the broadcast team noted that Rhea Ripley was not cleared to be there. Her absence continued on the September 18 episode of WWE RAW, where “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio came to the ring. Mysterio stated that Ripley was hurt after Nia Jax attacked her on the September 11 episode of WWE RAW.
Dominik also promised that Ripley would be back soon, but additional details were not provided.
Michael Cole subsequently stated that Ripley suffered bruised ribs, while Raquel Rodriguez sustained whiplash during Jax’s attack.
Jax shocked the wrestling world by interfering in Rhea Ripley’s match on the September 11 episode of WWE RAW. She attacked Raquel Rodriguez and seemingly helped Ripley win the match to retain the title. Jax then made an even louder statement by laying Ripley out after the bell.
Update: Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) then reported that Rhea Ripley had planned time off, and she is back home in Australia.
