Popular Hip Hop artist Cardi B has always been a fan of professional wrestling and WWE. She even released a song in which she paid tribute to Hall of Famer ‘Superfly’ Jimmy Snuka.
The popular Hip-hop star was a special guest on Hot Ones. During the episode, she opened up about her song “Hot Sh*t”. She revealed the real reason why she used Jimmy Snuka in her song. She was initially planning to use Triple H, but was unable to rhyme him with any word.
“I really wanted to say Triple H (in my song ‘Hot Sh*t’). But it didn’t rhyme, so I just said ‘Jimmy Snuka’. Because I was picturing ‘on top’, like, jumping like a wrestler. But I really wanted to say Triple H but, that wouldn’t even rhyme. It’s not even going with this flow or anything so, I just said, ‘Jimmy Snuka on the top rope, super fly sh*t.’” [H/T Post Wrestling]
Cardi B also revealed her plans for WrestleMania. While her appearance is still unconfirmed, she has spoken publicly about her desire to attend an event. Cardi wants to pay tribute to wrestling veteran Melina by doing the splits while making her entrance.
“Very skimpy (outfit for WrestleMania) but I feel like my entrance would have to be grand. Like, what’s her name? Melina? Do you remember her? She used to walk in with two guys and then she would do a whole split on the ropes. She would enter on a split. I have to enter grand like that. She was just crazy,” Cardi B said.
Cardi B praises Bad Bunny
Cardi B has never been shy about showing her interest in professional wrestling. Recently she was interviewed by Pete Rosenburg. During the interview, she praised fellow Hip-Hop artist-turned WWE wrestler Bad Bunny.
“Yeah, that mother f***** is jumping off the ropes. Honey, I just told you that my body got f***** up after the second [baby]. I told you the second one f***** me up. I would love to attend. I don’t know what I’d do. I don’t know if I have to perform or slap a bitch, but I want to go. I have to fulfill some type of dream.”
