The Headbangers have answered the call.
The Southern 6’s Alex Taylor and Kerry Morton had been set up to wrestle a mystery team at NWA Samhain. The opponents have revealed themselves as The Headbangers.
Thrasher: “That’s right, NWA. It’s the Headbangers, former NWA Tag Team Champions. And we’re coming!
Mosh: “We’re coming, October 28. We heard Southern 6 threw out this special open match challenge… well the Headbangers are up for it! So Kerry and Alex, get your asses ready because we’re coming Headbangers style, bitches!”
Thrasher: “Be careful what you wish for!”
The Headbangers won the NWA World Tag Team Championship on the February 17, 1998 episode of WWE Raw Is War. This was the first time in history that the NWA Tag titles changed hands on a WWE (then WWF) television program.
The pair would later work for several of NWA’s offshoot territories in the late 1990s and 2010s, including NWA Ring Warriors and NWA Championship Wrestling America. This is the first time Mosh and Thrasher will compete for the NWA under Billy Corgan’s ownership.
