Father James Mitchell: ICP’s Violent J Is A Big Fan, A Positive Presence Backstage

Father James Mitchell is happy to have Violent J involved with the NWA.

Violent J of the Insane Clown Posse got involved with the National Wrestling Alliance in time for the NWA 75 pay-per-view. He has served as a manager for the Brothers of Funstruction, Ruffo the Clown and Yabbo the Clown.

Some fans might not know that Mitchell worked with ICP before, as he recorded an intro for the duo’s tenth album, The Tempest. Mitchell said it’s been great reconnecting with Violent J through NWA and praised him as a good presence at the tapings.

“Yeah, I actually saw him at the last couple of tapings. I had not seen him since probably 2006-2007. So I believe I recorded the tracks, the voice-over cameos for the song “Ride the Tempest” in late 2006, I think. It came out in March of 2007. But yeah, it was good to see him back,” Mitchell said about Violent J’s NWA tenure. “And he’s working with the Brothers of Funstruction, the clowns. So yeah, it’s nice to have him around and, you know he is a big wrestling fan and a positive, positive presence backstage.”

Mitchell will be the host of NWA Samhain on October 28, while Violent J and The Brothers of Funstruction (Yabo and Ruffo) will face off with Vampiro and La Rebelión in trios action.
