AEW Dynamite Viewership Increases On 10/18, Demo Also Rises

AEW Dynamite viewership increased on October 18.

According to Wrestlenomics, 901,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.31 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is way up from last week’s episode when 609,000 viewers tuned in against NXT last Tuesday night. The demo also rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.26 rating in the same demographic.

With the increase in viewership, AEW Dynamite rose to the number three show on cable for Wednesday night. Dynamite was only defeated by FOX Sports’ coverage of the MLB Playoffs.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Bullet Club Gold’s Jay White defeating Penta El Zero Miedo.

Sting also addressed the fans last night and announced that his retirement from professional wrestling will occur at AEW Revolution 2024.

Elsewhere on the show, AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida defeated Emi Sakura in an Eliminator Match. Kenny Omega also got back into the win category by defeating Kyle Fletcher in a fantastic matchup.

In the main event of the show, Juice Robinson won the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale and will challenge MJF next week for the Dynamite Diamond Ring in Philadelphia.
