Colby Corino Reflects On WWE Deal Falling Through, Says He’s In A Great Place With NWA

Colby Corino says his WWE deal falling through might have been the right thing after all.

Colby Corino was reportedly set to sign with WWE as he finished up with NWA at the end of 2022. However, the deal fell through, and Corino entered free agency again. He then returned to NWA at NWA 75.

In an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, Corino was asked to describe how close fans were to seeing him in NWA. He noted that they were very close. However, Corino explained that he thinks everything happens the way ut should, and he’s in a great place with NWA now.

“You were this close,” Colby Corino said. “But in a big believer that everything happens the way it should. Maybe Colby not going to WWE was the right thing after all. Right now, I think I’m in a great place with NWA. If you’ve kept your ear to the news, things look like we’re on an up swing right now with TV deals. I’m not at liberty to say because I don’t know anything any more than all the other people out there. But it’s exciting to be where I’m at right now.”

Colby Corino: Wrestlers Can Make A Living Outside Of WWE And AEW

Colby Corino went on to describe how, more than ever, wrestlers have a chance to make a living outside of WWE and AEW. He stated that he is making more money than he ever has at a “normal” job.

“I gotta say, the opportunity for people to make a living in professional wrestling outside of AEW or WWE, it’s at an all-time high,” Colby Corino. “I’m making more money than I’ve ever had before from any normal job or anything. Not that I’m rich or anything, but it’s enough to support my family and have a somewhat comfortable life. It’s great. It’s great to have other avenues for professional wrestlers besides just being on TV, even though we might be on TV soon [laughs].”

Colby Corino will defend the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship against Joe Alonzo at NWA Samhain.

WrestleZone will have coverage of NWA Samhain as it airs on October 28.
