Scott D’Amore Provides Update On Alex Shelley’s Injury Status

IMPACT Wrestling President Scott D’Amore gives an update on Alex Shelley.

The Motor City Machine were initially slated to take on Moose and Brian Myers at IMPACT Wrestling’s tapings for Turning Point. However, due to an injury sustained the day before, Alex Shelley was pulled from the remainder of the company’s tour of the United Kingdom last week.

As originally reported by Cultaholic, Shelley sustained some sort of leg injury during The Motor Machine Gun’s October 26 tag team match against Eric Young and Josh Alexander, which took place in Glasgow, Scotland. PWInsider later added that Shelley’s injury had been described as an “extremely pulled muscle in his calf.”

IMPACT President Scott D’Amore has now provided an update on Shelley’s injury status (via Cultaholic).

“[Shelley is] gonna need a little bit of rest and a little bit of time but he’s gonna be more than healthy and ready before he needs to be back in an IMPACT Wrestling ring,” ” D’Amore said. “So it’s going to be a good chance for him to rest and recharge. Like this company, like this group does, this talent and crew they rallied around each other. Before I even had a chance to turn my mind towards it talent were coming up and offering suggestions and one of them was Frankie Kazarian stepping up.”

As D’Amore alluded to, Frankie Kazarian was named as Shelley’s replacement for the Turning Point tag team match, which was filmed on October 27 in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. The Turning Point event will air this Friday, November 3 on IMPACT Plus.
