Eddie Kingston: I Don’t Like Him, But I Wish It Worked Out Differently With CM Punk

Eddie Kingston shares his thoughts on CM Punk‘s AEW departure.

In 2021, Eddie Kingston and CM Punk had a memorable feud in AEW. They took heated shots at each other in promos, and Kingston told Punk that nobody in the locker room wanted Punk.

Speaking with Adrian Hernandez of The BET Las Vegas and The Sporting Tribune, Eddie Kingston was asked whether he felt bad about the promo getting brought up after CM Punk’s termination.

“No, I’m doing my job. That’s how I felt. I didn’t know what anyone else in the locker room felt. I didn’t care. It’s how I felt. I didn’t want him there. Me and Punk don’t like each other. That’s fine. You’re not gonna like everybody you work with.”

Eddie Kingston continued by noting that he wishes Punk was still in AEW, as he helped the company. However, he stated that he didn’t care about Punk otherwise, for better or worse.

“Do I wish he was still in AEW and I wish it worked out differently? Yeah because he helped the company,” Eddie Kingston said. “But other than that, I don’t give a f*ck what he does [laughs] because me and him never got along anyway. It don’t [concern me]. We don’t have to be best friends to fight each other. It makes it better when we’re not best friends, when we have to fight each other. I don’t wish him bad, but I don’t wish him good either because I don’t give a f*ck.”
