Report: Details On WWE’s Interest In Giulia, Sareee Signing With Sukeban

A new report shines some light on WWE‘s interest in one top star and Sareee landing with Sukeban.

On November 6, Sukeban announced that Sareee, formerly known as Sarray, had signed a multi-year deal with the company. Additionally, PWInsider reported that WWE has interested in NJPW/STARDOM star Giulia and were hoping to sign her. The report noted that the interest was serious enough that she was expected at the WWE Performance Center this month.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) confirms that WWE is interested in Giulia, and she is viewed as a “priority acquisition,” per one source. Sapp also wrote that AEW had talks with STARDOM about what talent could appear in a potential crossover. AEW had been interested in Giulia at the time, but it’s unclear whether AEW was working on potential plans for her.

Update On Sareee

As previously reported, Sareee had been in negotiations with an American company, which turned out to be Sukeban. Sapp cited WWE sources who indicated that they had been interested in potentially bringing the former Sarray back. As a result, they started working on it, but Saree landed with Sukeban.

There was no offer on the table, and one source said Sareee was not even contacted. The source noted that there is no ill will on WWE’s side, and she was well-liked in the company. According to the source, they didn’t think Sareee would end up back in WWE, and her Sukeban deal probably works out better for her.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
