Cary Silkin Claims Tony Khan’s Ring of Honor Has Not Gelled Together Properly

Ring of Honor is the wrestling promotion that groomed several of the top wrestlers in the world. People like CM Punk, Samoa Joe, Adam Cole, and many more rose to fame during their time in Ring of Honor. Former ROH boss Cary Silkins recently shared his thoughts on the current version of the company.

Silkin used to run Ring of Honor between the years of 2004 and 2011. Now, the promotion is under the ownership of All Elite Wrestling’s president, Tony Khan. ROH currently does not have a television deal but is airing on their streaming service, HonorClub.

Recently, Cary Silkin was a guest on Ad Free Shows’ The Insiders. During the interview, the former ROH owner shared his thoughts on how Tony Khan is running things. He claimed that things don’t feel the same like before and that ROH has not gelled together properly.

“It’s still alive today, but it’s …it doesn’t have … even in the worst times of my Ring of Honor, even in the worst times of the Sinclair Ring of Honor, there was like ‘We’re all in this together’ kind of. It was a family; the fans are family. And I like Tony Khan, and he’s a good guy, and he’s got so much on his plate that I just think the current Ring of Honor is … I can’t come up with the right words. And maybe I’m sour grapes a little. But it’s not gelled together properly,” Cary Silkin said. [H/T Wrestling Inc.]

While Silkin might feel this way, ROH seems to be getting more attention nowadays as its stars are featured regularly on international television. They make appearances on AEW’s television shows and pay-per-views.
