Steph De Lander Makes MLW Debut, Mance Warner Loses ‘Loser Leaves MLW’ Match

Steph De Lander loves Mance Warner, but she loves money and the wrestling business more.

MLW Fightland featured a ‘Loser Leaves MLW’ match between Matt Cardona and Mance Warner. The match saw De Lander, who is dating Mance Warner in real life, make her MLW debut on the show. De Lander ran out and stopped Cardona, her partner on the independent scene, from hitting Mance with a chair.

However, she ultimately turned on Mance when she speared him through a wooden board and helped Cardona win the match. Mance ended up punching out MSL after the match.

SDL and Cardona did a post-match interview and she told Mance that this isn’t Love Island. She loves him, but not as much as she loves this business and the money. Cardona then ripped on Mance and said they were suing him for attacking MSL.

The Little Intricacies

Steph De Lander recently spoke with WrestleZone’s Managing Editor Bill Pritchard. When asked about Matt Cardona’s comments of her being his Chyna, Sherri, and Luna wrapped into one, De Lander believes it feels their dynamic is closest to Triple H and Chyna.

“I don’t know because it’s such a unique pairing, if that makes sense,” De Lander said. “I would say, like for me, it feels like closest to Triple H and Chyna. So I would say he’s like the Triple H just because I would probably feel closest to Chyna in the dynamic as well. But yeah, I don’t know.

“There’s no one that I can be like, ‘Oh, it’s this.’ We have such a different dynamic. He’s a wrestler, I’m a wrestler. I’m his manager. We also tag team together. There are so many different iterations of our pairing that it’s not just the standard wrestler and manager or male-female tag team.

“A lot of male-female tag teams are married or dating or whatever, so it’s like we’re just platonic friends. We didn’t even know each other beforehand. There’s so many little intricacies of it and feels so unique that you can’t really compare it to anyone else.”
