Kyle O’Reilly has been out of action since June 2022, but a new report provides an update.
O’Reilly has been sidelined since he had neck fusion surgery in September 2022. He then dealt with a post-surgical issue that complicated his recovery.
Fightful‘s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select) reports that Kyle O’Reilly has been backstage recently after he had been absent for a long while. Per Sapp, it is “looking like” O’Reilly could return to AEW programming after it initially appeared to be unlikely.
Sapp writes that, in the summer, the updates about O’Reilly were not promising, as there was no timetable for his return, and he was not factored into creative plans due to the injury. The timeline for his potential return remains unclear. However, per Sapp, O’Reilly has been working out with a strength and conditioning coach as he continues his recovery.
