Rob Van Dam Says He Did Key Kick For ‘One of a Kind’ Music Video In One Take

Adding to the list of former WWE Champions that are now part of the AEW roster, is Rob Van Dam. One thing that people don’t talk about as much these days is his appearance in Breaking Point’s “One of a Kind” music video.

In the music video, RVD Crescent kicked some car keys to give them to another person. The music was used as his own theme song in WWE.

Recently on the 1 of a Kind Podcast, the former WWE Champion shared some insights about the music video.

‘How do you guys feel about meatloaf?’

“That’s a great question. If I remember right it was just the one take. Yeah… And so… Yeah… I really should have taken the whole video a lot more seriously like… My main goal, I was just trying to make everybody laugh. And all because the audio wasn’t going to be used anyways. It’s going to be music. I’m supposed to be coming in and challenging some guy to race, car for car. And I don’t know how I’m gonna get that out without talking. And I’d go in there and I would just, you know be like, hmmm, ‘Hey how do you guys feel about meatloaf?’ You know… Yeah… It would have been maybe funny once or twice I did that consistently like the whole time.

“At the end, I was supposed to throw in my keys. I don’t even know if I was going to tell him I was going to do this, but I threw ‘em up and I did a kick and I… An inside Crescent kick. And I whack… Yeah, I think the keys and then… But it went and bounced off of the car and that was not cool. Yeah because these are like uh what do you call those? Nice cars. Sports cars all painted up… Yeah whatever you call it, like the classic cars. Where it’s like you don’t want scratches on them anyway. And the keys went off the car. Pretty sure it was a one take, I don’t think I told him I did it and they didn’t want me to do it again,” Rob Van Dam said.
