Rob Van Dam says the ECW boys were in groups based on their “drug of choice.”
During a Q&A session on his YouTube channel, Rob Van Dam was asked which ECW stars were all about the party life. He revealed that it depended on which party they wanted to go to, saying that after the matches, the stars would often be in rooms based on their “drug of choice.”
“It depends on which party you wanted to go to. In the ECW days, the boys were pretty much segregated by drug of choice. That’s how it was. After the matches, there was a room for the boys that like to do coke, and boom, it’d be those boys. They’d be there hanging out. Same guys all the time. Another room for the guys that like to do weed, and that would be where you would see me every time. That’s my f*****g clique,” RVD said.
“There’d be the drinkers, which would be at the bar until the bar closed and then trying to sneak out five beers in his pockets to take it to the room or whatever. That’s how it was. The pot-smoking clique is, let’s say, the more mellow people. So if you’re too life in the party, then you know you’re in the wrong room,” RVD continued.
When asked who was in the pot-smoking clique besides him and Sabu, Rob Van Dam mentioned referee John “Pee Wee” Moore, Tracy Smothers, Little Guido (Nunzio), and Mustafa of The Gangstas. He also revealed that The Sandman was “like a chameleon who would make his rounds at all the clubs.”
