BJ Whitmer’s Victim Comes Forward, Pre-Trial Date Set

BJ Whitmer‘s victim has come forward, months after he allegedly attacked her.

AEW producer BJ Whitmer was arrested on June 4 after he allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend. He was charged with burglary and strangulation. AEW fired Whitmer in the aftermath of the arrest, and he was later indicted on first-degree strangulation and second-degree burglary

Per Payton Marshall of FOX19, Jamie Hawn has come forward and detailed the alleged attack.

“He approached me and began strangling me and threatened my life,” Hawn said.

Per Marshall, Hawn noted that she understands why survivors often stay silent, as coming to court and putting yourself in a vulnerable environment is challenging.

“It’s physically altering when you’re having to make sure that your voice is being heard and if you don’t attend (court) and you put yourself in this vulnerable environment, it’s very possible that things won’t get mentioned to get that justice,” she said.

Hawn said she is cooperating, but having her character get questioned as part of the case is challenging as well. She also stated that she can not move forward, as she is “going backward about things that have nothing to do” with the day of the attack.

BJ Whitmer’s Pre-Trial Date Set

Marshall also wrote that BJ Whitmer appeared in Boone County Count on December 6. There, his pre-trial date was set for January 3. Per Marshall, Whitmer’s defense team have not responded to a request for comment.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
