MLW is headed back to the Second City.

Major League Wrestling will return to Chicago on Saturday, May 11 for Azteca Lucha. This event marks MLW’s first event in Chicago since 2019. It will air live on FITE+ (now TrillerTV+).

Tickets for Azteca Lucha will go on sale Friday, December 15 at 10 am at Eventbrite.com and on http://www.luchatickets.com. As a thank you to Chicago fans, MLW also announced that this event will be a special fan appreciation event, with tickets starting at just $10.

Matches and fighters that will be on the show will be announced at MLW.com in the near future.

You wanna get nuts? Let’s get nuts!

WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard spoke with MLW World Champion Alex Kane ahead of MLW One-Shot. Kane put his title on the line against Matt Cardona on the show.

Kane’s Bomaye Fight Club has an on-air connection to Don King, the legendary boxing promoter. King is credited as bankrolling Bomaye and Kane in MLW. He has also made pre-recorded appearances on the league’s show.

Kane was asked if MLW has talked about bringing Don King to a live show. Kane said it has not, but it would be cool to see it happen.

“It has not been approached. You have to take into account his age,” Kane said. “But would it be nuts? Yes, it would be nuts.”
