Matt Cardona Made $20,000 Off Of Bloody T-Shirt From Nick Gage Death Match

Matt Cardona is one of, if not the top name on the independent scene. He has had some of the biggest and most crazy matches after his departure from WWE. One such match is the Death Match against the king of Death Matches, Nick Gage.

The former WWE Superstar wrestled Nick Gage in a Death Match for the GCW World Heavyweight Championship at the GCW Homecoming event in 2021. The match was a bloodbath. After a tough fight, Matt Cardona managed to win the match.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet on his Insight podcast, Matt Cardona revealed that he made over $20,000 by just selling plaques featuring the blood-stained T-shirt from the match.

“You got to invest in yourself. And there are things that are absolute flops. Like for instance… Okay I’ll give you two sides. The Death Match with Nick Gage, okay. I knew I was going to… I thought I was going to get a couple drops of blood on me, so I wore white. Bro, that white turned maroon,” he explained. “The shirt was maroon. ‘I’m like going to sell this somehow.’

“I’m a die-hard collector, die-hard fan. I said, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool if it was like that WrestleMania plaque with an autograph and a piece of the canvas?’ You know what I’m saying? So I contacted that company. The actual company and I made the plaque that has the picture of me bloody. they cut up the T-shirt. I made $20,000 on that. Over $20,000 on that. On a T-shirt, essentially,” Matt Cardona said.

Matt Cardona sold 150 limited-run plaques with a piece of the t-shirt along with an autograph.
