WWE‘s Matt Cardona believes that if you’re getting McDonald’s, you can’t be half pregnant and must go all the way.
WWE Superstar Matt Cardona recently appeared on Snack Wars in SPORTbible, where he rated US and British snacks. When tasked with choosing between a McDonald’s quarter-pounder with cheese and a sausage, bean, and cheese melt, Cardona revealed that McDonald’s was the first meal he had after his WWE return.
Matt Cardona noted that one must always go all the way when getting McDonald’s before revealing the crazy Big Smoke-like order he made that day.
“I love McDonald’s. After my return to WWE, my first meal was McDonald’s. So thank you, McDonald’s. When asked about what he ordered, Matt Cardona said, “If I’m gonna get McDonald’s, you can’t be half pregnant. You gotta go all the way. So I get a Big Mac meal, fries, drink, like, not even a diet drink, just straight up Coke. Either a double quarter pounder or a double cheeseburger, and then 20 nuggets, and a McFlurry.
After sampling both meals, he eventually chose the McDonald’s quarter-pounder.
Matt Cardona didn’t know if he or Zack Ryder was returning to WWE
Speaking to TNA’s Brian Myers (Curt Hawkins) and AEW’s Mark Sterling on The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, Cardona opened up about his WWE return. He noted that he had two sets of gear made since he didn’t know if he would be returning as Zack Ryder or Matt Cardona.
“Brian, I don’t know if you remember when we were at WrestleCade, and I was at dinner, like after we had the match, and I left. I went and took a phone call. That’s when I got the call like, ‘Hey, we’re interested, let’s start talking.’ I was like, ‘Oh boy, here we go!’
“So it was very stressful, in a good way, like not bad stress. But still like, ‘Is this gonna happen? Is this not gonna happen?’ Then, finally, I signed Christmas week. So, it’s very sudden. And then it’s like, ‘Am I Zack? Am I Matt?’ So I’m having both sets of gear made and designed,” Matt Cardona continued.
“SmackDown was in Buffalo. I flew into Rochester, so no one would see me at the airport. Then I was hidden in a room all day. I’m like, I just want the news to be out there. But yeah, the match was fun. Kit is awesome. To me, he’s a pro wrestler. Looks great, good in the ring, great gimmick,” Matt Cardona said.
