Samoa Joe On The AEW Rankings: It Is The Worst Thing Ever Having People That Suck In My Vicinity

AEW World Champion Samoa Joe is thrilled to have the rankings system back in order to keep the people who suck far away from him.

All Elite Wrestling‘s Samoa Joe recently sat down with WrestleZone Senior Editor Matt Black. When asked about the AEW Rankings system being restored, Joe said it’s back so all his challengers are excellent and won’t dull the shine of his championship.

“Well, I mean, here’s how it works. This is why we’ve established this new protocol,” Samoa Joe said. “This is why we brought back in the committee to handle these things. It’s because, listen, I’m the type of person that can’t have things that are not excellent around me, right? So if you have not excellent challengers around me, I mean, that just dulls the shine on my championship, why would I want to waste time with that?

Samoa Joe believes the AEW Rankings system will give the fans the very best matches they have to offer

“So with the committee, you have to show up, you have to produce results, and actually be excellent to be in my presence. And as long as we keep that protocol in effect, I think we’re giving the very best to the fans of AEW because I can’t stand when people suck. It is the worst thing ever having people that suck in my vicinity.

“It sucks the energy out of me just watching their unexcellence just ruin my day. So I mean, as long as we keep these sucky people, as far away from the city of me, the champion, the epitome of excellence, then I think everything will work out great.”
